RAPID RESPONSE AND BUSINESS SERVICES
"My husband and I own an automotive repair business and we often need to find and explore new resources to find good workers right away which are the life blood of our business. I contacted the Workforce Resource Center in Santa Barbara established by the WIB and the Executive Director himself helped design the job descriptions to work a proper recruitment for future hires. The whole process was very informative as I discovered there are other benefits to small businesses like ours, such as little known tax credits we can take advantage of and annual job fairs. There are even Rapid Response services sometimes known as "lay off services" for former employees who are laid off due to business downturns or closings who need help filing unemployment or even to receive other benefits during that time of unemployment before business picks up again. The best part about it was that the all the services are free of charge."
